Forumhuset

Ett för mig relativt outforskat område på campus, men som erbjuder stor yta för plugg på

många olika platser. Vid restaurang forum finns en stor yta, kanske främst för arbete i grupp

men fungerar såklart också utmärkt att sitta själv vid. Lite längre in finns bland annat stora

och fina soffor anpassade för arbete i grupp, avskärmade från korridoren med stora fönster för

fint ljusinsläpp.

Däremot är det hög ljudvolym från restaurangen och en öppen miljö som kan skapa en rörig känsla.

Gymnastik och idrottshuset

Här finns ett litet utbud med sittplatser, men som fungerar alldeles utmärkt för plugget. Många av ytorna är inte så stora vilket minskar risken för en stökig miljö.

Relativt få sittplatser, mestadels placerade i korridoren.

Långhuset

En central byggnad med närhet till det mesta – restaurang, kiosk, infocenter, universitetstryckeriet Repro, IT-support och studentpentry. Långhuset erbjuder gott om sittplatser längs korridorerna och i dess “armar”, ofta i form av bekvämare stolar och på många ställen även soffor. Flera platser är väl avskärmade, och vid vissa finns även tillgång till whiteboard.

Samtidigt präglas byggnaden av ständig rörelse, vilket kan göra det svårt att hitta lugn och ro. Det bidrar också till att studieplatserna snabbt blir upptagna.

Forum Building

A relatively unexplored area of campus for me, but one that offers plenty of space for studying in many different spots. Near Restaurant Forum, there is a large open area, perhaps mainly suited for group work, but it also works perfectly well for studying on your own. Further inside, there are, among other things, large and comfortable sofas designed for group work, separated from the corridor by large windows that provide plenty of natural light.

However, the noise level from the restaurant can be quite high, and the open layout may create a somewhat cluttered or busy atmosphere.

Gymnasium and Sports Building

There is a limited number of seating options here, but they work perfectly well for studying. Many of the spaces are relatively small, which helps reduce the risk of a noisy or chaotic environment.

There are relatively few seats overall, most of them located along the corridor.

Långhuset (The Long Building)

A central building with close access to most amenities – restaurant, kiosk, information center, university print shop (Repro), IT support, and student kitchen. Långhuset offers plenty of seating along the corridors and in its “wings,” often in the form of more comfortable chairs and, in many places, sofas. Several spots are well secluded, and some also provide access to whiteboards.

At the same time, the building is characterized by constant movement, which can make it difficult to find peace and quiet. As a result, study spaces also tend to fill up quickly.
