Review - Sliced

Located centrally in Örebro, we find Sliced, a relatively newly opened restaurant that offers pizza for 100 SEK each. Lösnummer went there to test the selection and give a review of it.

We tried several different pizzas. The ones we tested were the Kebab, Oxen, Veggen, Slice:d, and Nutellan. The Kebab was a kebab pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, kebab meat, red onion, and mild kebab sauce. The kebab meat was very good, and the mild sauce was equally tasty. If it were to receive a rating, it would be 9/10. Oxen was a pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, beef tenderloin, mushrooms, red onion, and was served with chili béarnaise on the side. It was good, but the beef could have had a bit more flavor. However, the chili béarnaise helped elevate the taste, giving it a 7/10. Veggen was a vegetarian pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, eggplant, and pesto. It was good, and it was great to have a vegetarian option for those who prefer it. However, it wasn’t as flavorful as the others and could have used a bit more pesto for extra taste, so it gets a 6/10.

The Slice:d pizza consisted of tomato sauce, mozzarella, chicken, pesto, red onion, and chili. The chicken was tender and tasty. For those who enjoy food with some heat, this is the perfect pizza, as the chili adds a nice level of spiciness. It therefore receives a 7/10. Lastly, we tried the Nutellan. As the name suggests, it was a Nutella pizza topped with banana and powdered sugar. It’s perfect to share as a dessert. The crust differed slightly from the savory pizzas but was very good and tasted a bit sweeter than a regular pizza base, so it gets an 8/10.

Instead of the traditional white cabbage pizza salad, a red cabbage pizza salad was served, which was a nice complement to the pizzas. The environment and atmosphere in the restaurant felt warm and welcoming—a place to gather if you want to enjoy good food out with friends or family, while also being affordable and student-friendly.
