Prismahuset

Det finns många trevliga studieplatser utspridda runt om i prismahuset. Plats för både

grupparbeten i olika storlekar men det finns även bänkar anpassade för enskilt arbete. Jag upplever att det är lugnare än på många andra ställen. Troligen för att studieplatserna är utspridda och erbjuder färre sittgrupper på samma yta. Möjligheten att värma mat i studentpentry eller köpa något gott i forums restaurang genom passagen mellan Prisma- och Forumhuset gör det enklare att hålla energin uppe under en intensiv pluggdag.

Det begränsade antalet sittplatser gör att det ibland kan upplevas som fullt, och platserna är dessutom inte lika avskärmade eller ergonomiskt utformade som på många andra ställen runt om på campus.

Teknikhuset

Källaren är ett av de ställena man kan plugga på i teknikhuset. Den erbjuder trevlig interiör,

gröna färger, behagliga soffor och fin inredning. Verkar vara en gömd pärla som, även på

annars attraktiva pluggtider, är relativt lugn. Tillgång till studentpentry i källaren gör att

plugget kan bli långvarigt. I teknikhuset finns dessutom restaurang för den hungrige.

Däremot är stolarna hårda och kan bli jobbiga att sitta på under många timmars plugg.

Mina favoriter, eller “kantarellställen” bland Örebro universitets studieplatser, hittar ni just nu i teknikhusets källare och i bibliotekets dämpade zon. Platser där jag pluggar som bäst. Men alla är vi olika, och dina egna favoritställen kanske finns någon annanstans på campus.

Prismahuset

There are many pleasant study spaces scattered throughout the prismahuset. There is room for both group projects of different sizes, but there are also desks suited for individual study. I find it to be quieter than many other places—likely because the study areas are spread out and offer fewer seating groups within the same space. The option to heat food in the student kitchenette or buy something tasty at the Forum restaurant via the passage between the Prisma and Forum buildings makes it easier to keep your energy up during an intense study day.

The limited number of seats means it can sometimes feel full, and the spaces are not as secluded or ergonomically designed as in many other places around campus.

Teknikhuset

The basement is one of the places you can study in teknikhuset. It offers a pleasant interior, green tones, comfortable sofas, and nice decor. It seems to be a hidden gem that remains relatively quiet even during otherwise popular study hours. Access to a student kitchenette in the basement makes it possible to study for longer periods. There is also a restaurant in the Technology building for those who are hungry.

However, the chairs are quite hard and can become uncomfortable to sit on during long study sessions.

The Writer’s Favorites

My favorite spots—or “hidden gems”—among Örebro University’s study spaces are currently the basement of the teknikhuset and the quiet zone of the library. These are the places where I study best. But everyone is different, and your own favorite spots might be somewhere else on campus.
