NEWS. The old e-mail system for students that was established in 2004, will be replaced with a new one. The university teams up with Google and expects increased functionality for students and cost reductions.
E-MAIL. The old e-mail system for students will be replaced with a new one, presumably this fall.
FEES. From the autumn of 2011, tuition fees will be introduced for foreign students who choose to study in Sweden.
NEW. The bus system in Örebro will change on the first of April. There will be 14 new bus lines, the busses will go more frequently and all the lines will get new numbers.
Inadequate translation of grades has left students discontent. Now the current ECTS grading system is going to be reformed. This will result in a fairer grade interpretation and conversion from one international institution to another.
Reporting false address and escapes repayments
NEWS. Swedes with false addresses living abroad is one of the reasons that the government loses billion amounts when the education loan is to be repayed. Therefore CSN wants to see an extension of the legislation to cope with the problems. Läs mer »
NEWS. Lars Ohly was attending a crowded auditorium at Örebro University yesterday to talk about withdrawing the Swedish troops from Afghanistan. But far from everyone agreed with the party leader.
EDITORIAL. Emil Ericsson is onto something. When he was dissatisfied about his education he held a speech in front of a crowded auditorium in connection with a lecture. It is a classic way to influence, to stand up and say what you think. But then, he did something else in addition. He published the speech, that had been recorded, on YouTube. INTROSPECIAL. This time of the year, there are probably a lot of us staring at the pile of books on the kitchen table, and wondering how we will ever get through it. But there are tricks! The lecturer Per Brohagen shares some of his tips and tricks for how to turn school fatigue into study motivation.
